Sometimes, the best things in life come from unexpected moments. The Original Candle Co. is more than just a home fragrance brand—it's a passion project born from a simple desire to create, find purpose, and share something special with the people around me.
From Small Beginnings to a Growing Business
I'm Michael, the founder of The Original Candle Co.. This journey started during a low point in my life, when I needed something to keep myself busy and bring a little light into my world—quite literally. What began as an experiment in making candles and wax melts for friends and family soon grew into something bigger than I ever imagined.
Through late nights pouring wax, tweaking fragrances, and perfecting every detail, I slowly turned my passion into a business. It wasn’t always easy—especially juggling everything while getting married, moving house, and caring for our five energetic pets. Three dogs and two cats keep life chaotic, but they also bring joy and inspiration (especially Paige, our Labrador puppy, who never fails to test my patience!).
