Summertime Ice Cream Scented Candle

First Burn: When burning your The Original Candle Co. scented candle for the first time, ensure you burn it until the wax melts across the top evenly to prevent tunnelling of your candle, this could take up to 3 hours to be achieve, but, we promise this will make your candle last longer.

Wick Trimming: We recommend trimming your wick before every lighting. The wick needs to be approximately 5mm in length, keeping it at this length will avoid mushrooming which can result in unnecessary soot. This will also control the size of the flame.

Burn Time: Candles should never be burned for more than 4 hours at a time. After 4 hours we recommend you extinguish your candle, allow it to cool and set again before trimming the wick and re-lighting.

Between Burns: When you aren't using your candle keep it out of direct sunlight and use the lid provided to protect the wax from dust and particle build-up and to eliminate the scent from evaporating which may affect the hot and cold scent throw.

Maximising Your Scent Throw: Burning your candle under a fan, open window or anywhere that consists of wind or a draft decreases the burn time of your candle, causes uneven burning and diminishes scent throw.

We charge a flat fee of £3.99 for delivery.

We aim to ship orders within 2 working days from your order being placed. Please be aware that all of our candles, wax melts, diffusers, and mist sprays are handmade, and as such, at peak times, orders may take slightly longer to ship.

Our aim is to deliver all orders within 3 working days of shipping. However, during busier times, this may take longer and is out of our control. If you haven't received your order after 7 working days of notification of shipping please contact us by using our chat function or by emailing us at hello@originalcandles.co.uk

We use Yodel, Royal Mail and DPD as our shipping partners and all orders are provided with a tracking number which will be provided to you to track your order once dispatched.

Due to the way products are shipped you may receive your order in more than one consignment and from more that one carrier. Each carrier will provide up to date tracking details and a tracking number will be provided for each parcel.

Upon receipt of your delivery, should you find that there are parts of your order missing or damaged, please contact us within 48 hours so we can resolve the issue promptly - where damage is reported we may ask for photo evidence so we can arrange a replacement as quickly as possible.
